You know, that journal about me hating on DeviantArt for having you pay for Critique is still up. Although I'm rather fond of it showing how much of a pompous ass I believe it's time to move on. So I've been thinking. Would it be a wise idea to post character profiles once a X? Like the kind of concept art you see of characters before you see the final version, like those making up half the pages in any given Ark System Works artbook?

Upon submitting an old piece of work I found that you have four options to choose from when submitting a work. One is "No Critique allowed" which made me groan. Even if it's an obligatory option that doesn't affect much if the onlooker doesn't care it's existence seems to get my goat. Then again you could say I'm biased against DA. The other is "Allow Advanced Critique". Honestly the best looking option,  though condescending. There's no Advanced or upper level, tier, or aspect of someone telling you you need to shape up.
